Barramundi has a silky, buttery, rich, sweet flavor and white, medium-firm flesh. It is similar in flavor and texture to sea bass, snapper, and sole. They are also known to be fairly rich in omega-3 fatty acids, healthy fats, protein, vitamin D, vitamin A, sodium, and potassium. These fish also appear to have relatively low levels of harmful chemicals such as mercury and PCBs.
